Our valiant volunteers worked dawn to dusk to bring in the remains of the Solaris, and all ten row of Orion. Virtually no time to take photos of the actual harvest which was a real shame. Liz charged up and down collecting full crates and delivering emptied ones. Still time for lunch form the splendid Rothley Fisheries, and Truffle cake from Dominic North at tea time. Just look at the crates of lovely fresh and healthy grapes, and then the debris to be taken away and spread on the vine rows. We finished grape pressing at 23.00hr on the Saturday, then had to clean the press and de-stemmer. Left the winery at 24.10hr. Spent Sunday and Monday on the “Mother of all Clean-ups!”
