Day 22

Laura back for more picking assisted by Michelle. Then a curious chicken kept an eye on proceedings! At last we have picked all the solaris grapes which are used, with siegerebbe, to make King Richard wine. Botrytis has been a problem, so all suspect grapes went into separate barrow to be disposed of. Lovely fresh green grapes were pressed later that evening when Matthew got home. It is difficult pressing grapes outside by torchlight!
